Padmavati: Supreme Court Dismissed Petition Filed Against Release Of ‘Padmavati’

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati is going to be released on December 1. The controversy that has started since the film’s shoot has reached its peak. Now Rajput organization is determined to stop the film at any cost. According to the information, there are protests about the content of the film in different parts of Rajasthan. In the meanwhile, the heirs of the former royal family have also come forward and demanded to ban the film.

People are protesting in many areas including Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Jodhpur. More than five pre-royal houses of Rajasthan, including Mewar, Jaipur, have opposed the film. Regarding this, the princess and Ex-MLA Dinaya Kumari of the former Raj Bhavan of Jaipur is going to held a press conference.

  • The Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition to stop the release of Padmavati. The Supreme Court has also demanded a ban on the film by putting a patition. Somesh Chandra Jha filed this petition.
  • Senior BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy raised question over Padmavati’s fund. He said that there should be a check on whose money is invested in the film.
  • Members of the censor board and BJP leader Arjun Gupta have written a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh asking to register a case for sedition against Bhansali.
  • In view of growing anger over Padmavati, Mumbai Police has deployed a team of 16 policemen out of the Juhu office of Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Maharashtra. Security is for 24 hours, which will continue until the film is released.
